Authorities are searching for two suspects after an adult male was shot in south Sacramento Saturday afternoon, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.

At approximately 1 p.m., the sheriff's communication center received a call regarding a 45-year-old male victim who was shot in the upper body in the 6100 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Deputies responded to the scene and located the victim who was responsive. Sacramento Metro Fire officials also responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital with non-life threatening wounds. 

Two suspects armed with handguns fled on foot from the scene. The suspects were only described as a Hispanic male adult and a black male adult.

There is no known motive at this time.
