The Alameda City Council is the second city in the Bay Area to pass a resolution asking Congress to investigate whether or not President Trump should be impeached.
According to ABC7 in San Francisco, the council met earlier this week and decided to ask lawmakers to look into potential conflicts from the president's business dealings and possible ties to Russia. Richmond became the first Bay Area city to pass a similar resolution two weeks ago.
City councils have no actual authority to call for an impeachment.
One council member said the city has other issues to focus on, like affordable housing.
