The good folks at Sacramento County Animal Care are used to caring for dogs and cats.

Beavers though? Not often.

On Wednesday, March 15, the animal care center picked-up "Justin Beaver" at an apartment complex with multiple lacerations and punctures, which they believe came from either a coyote or a large dog.

The beaver was also missing a front foot, which they believe is from a previous injury.

The medical team cared and cleaned Justin's fresh wounds before sending him along to the Wildlife Care Association for rehabilitation.
