The owner of Twelve Rounds Brewing Company announced he will be stepping down as CEO after receiving backlash for comments he made about the Women's March.
Daniel Murphey, criticized the people and politicians who supported the marches, calling it an "anti-Trump event." After, he apologized on his Facebook business page, stating he has "nothing but the utmost respect for women."
Murphey did eventually delete his comment, but its impact is permanent. He has turned the company over to David Chavez.
"Politics have polarized people here in Sacramento and across the nation," Murphey said on Facebook. "I am a very passionate person and let them consume me. I really don’t hate people. I ask that you all please give Twelve Rounds another chance."
