Elk Grove Police will pick up a search for a man and child last seen running on a trail adjacent to Red Fox and St. Simons Court on Tuesday morning after trying to find them Monday night.
Police tweeted Monday evening that the air unit was helping search the area. Officers are looking for a Hispanic man in his 20's, wearing a blue t-shirt and a red, or orange, baseball hat.
They are also looking for a Caucasian boy wearing a yellow t-shirt.
Police said they received a call from a witness who passed by the scene and saw suspicious activity involving the adult and child.

The relationship between the adult and child is unknown at this time.
