Former Stockton Mayor Anthony Silva has been released from prison after officially posting bail on Wednesday.

Silva was originally facing a $1 million bail after being charged on March 3 with several felonies which included misappropriation of public funds, embezzlement, money laundering and grand theft.

Silva, who eventually plead not guilty to the charges, was arrested at San Francisco International Airport on March 5.

The bail was later reduced by a San Joaquin County judge from $1 million to $350,000 on March 13.
