Help us settle this "heated" debate.
On ABC10 Morning Blend, Michelle and Rob discussed what makes a holiday. Michelle doesn't believe Halloween is a holiday, instead, calling it a celebration.
Rob, the holiday observer, took to Twitter. He tweeted out a poll asking for viewers to chime in: is it a holiday, celebration, or neither?
Hot debate breaking out during show. Is Halloween a holiday? Or...is it a celebration? What is it?— Rob Carlmark (@rcarlmark) October 24, 2017
Then people started chiming in.
It's a holiday if I get the day off from work. 😜— Sarah Reed (@EuroGamerGirl) October 24, 2017
It’s a last gasp celebration before All Saint’s Day, a religious day, a holiday (Holy Day). Halloween is like Mardi Gras before Lent.— Anna Foote (@BeehiveMom) October 24, 2017
Holiday = Holy Day. All Saint Day is Holy Day. Halloween is just the day before.— John Verley (@john_verley) October 24, 2017
Halloween is a celebration if you are of the magical persuasion.Typically was the Fall Harvest celebration, and good excuse to party.— C Manselle (@shiftypC) October 24, 2017
