ROSEVILLE -- City police and fire crews were on the scene of a single-car crash that killed two people on Industrial Avenue at Allentown Drive at 3:19 a.m. Friday. The driver sped from Placer County sheriff's deputies as they tried making a traffic stop on the westbound car. After speeding away, the driver hit the median in the road and lost control east of Allentown Drive. The car left the roadway and caught on fire, the driver was ejected and the passenger remained inside during the crash.

Both people were declared deceased at the scene. Industrial Avenue will remain closed between Freedom Way and Justice Center Drive, and Allentown Drive is closed between Blue Oaks Blvd and Industrial Avenue for the next several hours while investigators examine the scene.

STOCKTON -- It was a violent Thursday evening in the City of Stockton. A man at a recycling center on Worth and American Streets says he was stabbed at 4:30 p.m. He told police he initially thought he was just bumped into. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for his injuries and the suspect, 41-year-old Kenneth Storrs, was arrested on murder charges, terrorist threats and an outstanding warrant.

Two other men were stabbed in the El Dorado Street and Bianchi Road area shortly after this first incident. They were walking on the Calaveras River levee when six suspects approached them. The two were attacked by the group and one suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victims. Police say the suspects fled on foot and described them as Hispanic. The victims were treated at a nearby hospital, their injuries are not life threatening.

And on West Ponce De Leon Avenue, a man was killed. Police got a report about multiple shots fired in the area and fund the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Homicide detectives continue to investigate the shooting.
