Two Los Angeles police officers are making a 420-mile run from Los Angeles to the State Capitol in full uniform to raise funds for police killed in the line of duty.

Officers Kristina Tudor and Joe Cirrito kicked off their journey at the LAPD Academy Sunday, Nov. 27 and are expected to arrive at the Capitol Dec. 8, according to the LAPD Headquarter Twitter account.
The police department is raising money in partnership with Bluecoat Music, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing awareness about fallen officers and their families.
The LAPD Outreach tweeted, the officers arrived in Kern County Monday morning, after hours of running in the cold and dark.
The Sacramento Police Department said on their Facebook page they will be waiting to welcome the two officers West Steps of the Capitol at 10th and L between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. and are encouraging the public to join. They'll be giving live updates along the way, according to the Facebook page.
