One person has died and three more were injured in a car crash in Solano County, said the Solano County California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened Wednesday at 4:15 p.m. on Putah Creek Road, west of Stevenson Bridge Road.

A black Ford F150 and a white Nissan were both driving westbound when the front of the Nissan collided with the left-rear of the Ford. The Ford then went to the right and the left side of the car collided with a tree while the Nissan continued westbound and overturned an unknown amount of times.

The woman in the passenger seat of the Nissan was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car receiving moderate injuries. The driver of the Nissan received moderate injuries as well.

The driver of the Ford suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, while the passenger in the car received major injuries.

Officials are unsure if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
