Police are investigating a possible street race that left a 30-year-old man dead and others injured.

Police received reports of street racing in the 7400 block of Watt Avenue around 10 p.m. Friday.

When police arrived, they found a car that had cashed into a pole and a fence.

The 30-year-old driver had been ejected from the car, he died at the scene. Police believe he was not wearing a seatbelt.

A second car had also crashed nearby. The driver and passengers sustained minor injuries and were taken to a local area hospital.

CHP is investigating this as a fatal collision. Speed is believed to be a factor.
