A party in Granite Bay advertised on Snapchat got the kind of attention the host probably didn’t want after an uninvited guest brought a shotgun inside, resulting in three arrests and three people in the hospital.

Three people were arrested early Monday morning when Placer County sheriff’s deputies were called to a home on East Hidden Lakes Drive for a fight involving a firearm.

Deputies arrived and were greeted by several cars leaving the scene. A deputy was able to stop one car, which happened to contain three suspects and a shotgun.

The host of the party told deputies the party was intended for Granite Bay locals only, according to a sheriff’s press release. But one of the partygoers posted it to Snapchat, and several young men from the Placerville/Cameron Park area arrived.

One suspect, Austin Eric Keefauver, 18, got into an argument with someone at the party, deputies said. Keefauver went to his car and returned with a pistol-gripped shotgun.

Deputies said Keefauver pointed the shotgun at victims and demanded money and everything in their pockets. The victims did not comply and a fight ensued.

The suspect and his friends left, but were immediately stopped by the deputy. The shotgun was found hidden in the car’s trunk, according to deputies.

Victims identified Keefauver as the suspect, and he was booked at the Placer County Jail on charges of robbery, being armed in the commission of a felony, and conspiracy.

Two others were arrested – Daniel Munoz, 18, and a 17-year-old juvenile were arrested for participating in the fight, which caused injuries to all three victims.

The victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Keefauver and Munoz were booked at the Placer County Jail, and the juvenile was booked into Placer County Juvenile Hall. Keefauver’s bail was set at $125,000 and he posted bail and was released yesterday.
