A man has been sentenced to 131 years and six months to life in prison on a plethora of counts of sexual assault against minors, according to the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office.

Kurt Chilcott was convicted on nine counts of sexual assault on a child 10 years old or younger, eight counts of lewd acts with a child under 14 years old and one count of annoying or molesting a child with the allegation that he has prior convictions for sexual assault.

The jury convicted Chilcott on Sep. 26, 2017.

He has a history of these acts, registering as a sex offender after being convicted in 1992 for sexual assault against three young girls in Sonoma County.

The victims in 1992 ranged from 8 to 11 years old. In the current case he had also sexually assaulted a family member from 2014 to 2016 when the girl was 8 to 11 years old.
