A deadly carjacking in Sacramento has sheriff’s detectives asking the public for their help finding a suspect and the victim’s stolen car.

The car belonged to Jeffrey Turner, Sacramento County sheriff’s investigators said, who was carjacked and murdered two days before Thanksgiving and shortly before he was due to pick up his granddaughter for a doctor’s appointment.

Investigators identified Turner’s car as a 1999 dark green Infinity four-door sedan, California license plate 6WQA315. The car reportedly had 20-inch chrome wheels and a white passenger-side front fender. Detectives believe the car might still be in the Sacramento area.

Detectives are also asking anyone who may have information about the incident or who may have spoken with, or seen Turner on or before Nov. 20, to please contact the Sheriff’s Department.

Anyone with information can contact the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department at 916-874-7604.
