Voting is said to be part of our civic duty, but getting free stuff never hurts. As an incentive to get out and cast your ballot a number of local spots are offering freebies on Election Day.

In West Sacramento, Stockton and Modesto, Krispy Kreme is giving out free donuts until they close at 10 p.m. You just have to show that “I voted” sticker.

Krispy Kreme general manager Desiree Phillips said they’ve already handed out hundreds of donuts.

"It is until supplies last but I don't want anyone to miss out on their chance, so I will write a coupon for you and (we will) honor it for the rest of the month of November,” said Phillips.

To go with that free donut swing by 7-Eleven, where you can grab a free 12 oz. coffee, redeemable through the 7-11 app.

Bobby Bar owns a store in West Sacramento and said if you don’t have a phone, that’s okay, just be sure to present that “I Voted” sticker.

"This morning we had about eight customers who didn't have a phone where they can get apps, but we gave them free coffee,” said Bar.

Rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft are also offering hot deals on Election Day.
