The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department says an investigation is underway regarding an officer-involved shooting Tuesday that left one man injured.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:45 p.m. in the area of Micron Avenue and Bradshaw Road in Sacramento, according to officials.
Authorities say a man was intoxicated before getting into an altercation with police when he was shot. He was breathing and conscious when he was transported to the hospital.
The sheriff's department said no deputies were injured in the incident.
