One man is dead and another one is injured from a shooting that happened early Saturday morning outside of a Midtown bar.

The Sacramento Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at Flames on 16th and V Streets just after 1:30 a.m. When officers arrived, they found one man with a life-threatening gunshot wound and began efforts to save his life. Officers also found another man with a gunshot wound near the bar.

Both victims were taken to an area hospital, but one man died from his injuries. The names of the victims have not been released.
