Sacramento police have arrested a suspect with possible ties to a series of September armed robberies in Sacramento’s Pocket neighborhood.

Police say a total of six armed robberies happened between Sept. 25 and Sept. 28 in the area of Florin Road and Greenhaven Drive. Each of the robberies happened between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., involving a single suspect who was armed with a semi-automatic handgun.

Then, on Oct. 3, police had a breakthrough in their investigation responding to another robbery call along Greenhaven Drive, in the same area where the previous robberies had happened.

Officers found a man matching the description of the at-large suspect, detaining him in the process. Police were able to discover evidence suggesting the detained man was linked to the robbery and arrested him.

Though police believe the suspect to be linked to the Oct. 3 robbery as well as the prior string of robberies, investigators are not releasing the identity of the suspect, though he remains in custody.
