Sacramento's Regional Transit system is offering free rides on Saturday for people attending Maroon 5's show at the Golden 1 Center.

All you need is proof of your ticket to the pop rock show, which starts at 7 p.m.

In a press release announcing the deal, President of the Sacramento Kings Chris Granger applauded RT for being "integral in making transit to downtown’s new entertainment district safe, simple and fast.”

Sacramento's transit system plans to provide up to 10 free ride days for people with valid Golden 1 Center event tickets, and 12 station activations prior to events, games and concerts.

On weekends, light rail operates every 30 minutes. RT officials said it will operate four-car trains past regular commute times to help guests get to and from Golden 1 Center.
