Smashing Pumpkins reunion tour includes stop in Sacramento

Three fourths of the original Smashing Pumpkins lineup are heading to Sacramento.

Announced Thursday morning, the Smashing Pumpkins' "Shiny And Oh So Bright" Tour, featuring Billy Corgan, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin, is set to stop at the Golden 1 Center on Tuesday, Aug. 28.

Former bassist Dโ€™arcy Wretzky was not included in the announcement. Longtime Smashing Pumpkins guitarist Jeff Schroeder will also take part in the tour.

In a tweet, the band said they'll celebrate songs from their first five albums, from Gish to Machina. This is the band's first tour since 2000 featuring a majority of original members.

Tickets go on-sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23. Tickets for the Sacramento show are $128.56, $102.56, $72.56, $42.56 and $32.56 for reserved seats plus applicable charges.
