Wearing a t-shirt with a picture of her murdered daughter, Vicki Ryman and friends, along with the Stockton Police Department's Neighborhood Impact team canvassed a Weston Ranch neighborhood going door to door.

They passed out fliers in the hopes someone knows something in the shooting death of 27-year-old Denise Lemberg.

"Fun, beautiful, motivated, interesting, loved her family," said mother Vicki Ryman.

That's how Vicki describes her daughter, a former EMT, who was killed 5 years ago to the day on October 20, 2012 while on a double date.

Stockton Police say two teenagers walked up to the car parked in front of a home in the 4500 block of Mist Trail. One of them then opened fire, hitting Lemberg and another passenger inside.

Denise was rushed to the hospital after being shot.

"I could barely function at that point because I didn't have any answers. But, I was able to get a ride and go to the hospital and be with her for her last breath," said Ryman.

So far, no arrests have been made and police have very little clues to go on.

"This mom and obviously the family they're suffering every day. They want closure. And our investigator out here he wants to solve the case," said Stockton Police spokesman Joe Silva.
