The Stockton Police Department tweeted the driver of one of the vehicles has come forward.
According to their tweet, the driver of the Mercedes came forward and was interviewed by Traffic Investigators Thursday morning.
Police say they still need to talk to the driver of the late 1990’s to early 2000’s dark colored Isuzu Rodeo or Honda Passport.
A 9-year-old girl was killed Tuesday, March 6, after she was hit by a vehicle in Stockton.
The incident occurred near Carolyn Weston Boulevard and Ishi Goto Street and authorities are searching for witnesses, according to the Stockton Police Department.
The girl was hit by the vehicle while crossing the street, before being transported to the hospital in serious condition. She later died as a result of her injuries, police said.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police. However, officials are now looking for witnesses to the fatality as part of the investigation.
The Stockton Police Department is looking for the occupants of a late 90’s to early 2000’s silver Mercedes and a late 90’s to early 2000’s dark-colored Isuzu Rodeo or Honda Passport. The drivers of the vehicles exited the scene before law enforcement arrived, police said.
