The unidentified Stockton woman and one other person pulled over Saturday night to help a man who was stalled in the far left lane of I-5 near Weber Avenue after he avoided an accident.

Minutes later, another vehicle struck the stalled car, sending both into the good Samaritans who were standing at the center median. One of the victims was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The woman was believed to have been thrown into the water after being hit by the cars. San Joaquin County Sheriff's boats were launched the following day, and have been searching since.
