Stockton police are looking for a man supposedly responsible for the Friday discovery of six dogs found living in a state of “inhumane conditions.”

Police and Stockton animal service officers arrived at a home along Aylesford Lane Friday afternoon where they found the dogs. At the time of the discovery, though, officers were only able to leave a 48-hour seizure notice after finding the home in a state of disrepair.

That seizure notice, however, expired, and authorities found themselves back at the Aylesford Lane home again, this time looking for a person identified only as “Dante,” the supposed owner of the dogs.

The dogs were taken by Stockton Animal Service officials, where they remain pending the owner’s retrieval of the animals.

Those with information about the dogs or the dogs' owner can contact animal services at 209-937-8274.
