A homicide investigation into the death of a Stockton 2-year-old has lead police to the boy's father Donte Revels, 31, as a person of interest.

Stockton police started their investigation Tuesday when the department received a phone call from Pleasanton police, who began investigating the death of the boy on Oct. 8.

Family brought the child to a hospital on Oct. 7, according to Pleasanton police, and the child was later pronounced dead.

Police said the circumstances that lead to the boy's death happened in Oakland. When detectives began working with Oakland police, investigators were led to a home on Diamond Oaks Street in Stockton.

The Stockton Police Department encourages citizens to call if they have information.

Revels is 6-foot and weighs 160 pounds.
