When you think of The Beach Boys, what comes to mind? California? Surfing?

Charles Manson?

The first two might be a little more common, but there is a Manson connection to the Beach Boys. Before his infamous mass murders, Manson connected with a few people in Los Angeles in an attempt to get his music career off the ground.

The Beach Boys song "Never Learn Not to Love" is the only Manson song he wrote to be recorded before the murders.

That isn’t the only musical connection one can make to Manson. Several musicians, from Guns N’ Roses and The Lemonheads, to the artist who paid homage to the murderer in his name, Marilyn Manson, have released covers from Charles Manson’s only studio album: "Lie: The Love and Terror Cult."

Other artists have incorporated recordings of Charles Manson into their songs.
