Students from almost 3,000 schools are marking National Walkout Day, most by leaving their classrooms at 10 a.m. local times to show solidarity for the 17 killed in the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.
Locally, students from dozens of schools in Northern California plan to participate in this national movement.
