Where are Californians moving to?

California is losing residents.

Californians are moving away.

That's according to analysis of American Community Survey data by the state's nonpartisan Legislative Analyst's Office.

From 2007 to 2016, a net of one million residents left California -- 2.5 percent of its population.

But just where are Californians going?

The top five states fielding former Californians are Texas, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.
