Kanye West is drawing much speculation from the public after being hospitalized Monday, but like in any uncertain situation, it's likely not a good idea to draw conclusions without proper knowledge.
West was taken to UCLA Medical Center for observation early afternoon after an "unspecified medical aid request."
While further details haven't been provided, the internet is buzzing with the the rapper's name following a string of bizarre behavior from West.
The rapper is no stranger to controversy and public rants, but his latest stint in Sacramento sent shockwaves across the internet.
Not only did West start the Saint Pablo Tour show more than an hour late, he cut the show short after 3 songs and an explosive rant.
The rant included mentions of Mark Zuckerberg, Hillary Clinton and Jay Z and Beyonce before West abruptly dropped the microphone and ended the concert, leaving fans angry and in disbelief.
This followed a San Jose show last week where West stopped in between songs to go on political rants. West received boos from the SAP Center crowd as he blasted his support for president-elect Donald Trump.
A representative for West announced Monday, the rapper would be cancelling the remaining shows of the Saint Pablo Tour.
However, Ticketmaster offered refunds to fans who came to watch the rapper at the Golden 1 Center.
The cancelations could cost West more than $10 million, according to Forbes.
Although there's been no public statement on West's condition following his hospitalization, social media is swamped with theories and ideas.
Some people are skeptical about West's reasons for being in the hospital.
While others are more sympathetic towards the possibility of a real issue.
While the internet is flooded with guesses about what is happening with West, it's important to note, without a professional evaluation, there's no way to actually know what the situation is.
Simine Vazire, professor of psychology at UCDavis explained in an email, although she's not qualified to diagnose mental illness, it's 'unwise to diagnose mental illness at a distance.'
"I would be skeptical of anyone who thinks they know what's wrong, unless they seen a wide range of Kanye's behavior over time and across many different situations (i.e., you'd have to know him pretty well or be his therapist to have enough information to make an educated guess, in my opinion)."
West could be going through a tough mental issue, or he could be dealing with something unrelated. Only his personal doctor could possibly have the answers.
