A woman was arrested early Saturday morning after police say she drove through the lobby doors of the Sacramento County Mail Jail.
According to Sacramento County Sheriff's officials, the 32-year-old woman drove her SUV through the lobby doors on I Street between 6th Street and 7th Street without injuring anyone inside. Deputies inside the jail detained her without incident.
The suspect told deputies that she hit other buildings in the area while she was driving, officials said, but no damage was found to those buildings.
The woman was arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Jail for felony vandalism. She will be tested for driving under the influence.
