A man has been arrested after allegedly trying to carjack an ambulance that was responding to a traffic collision in Roseville Thursday.

Just before 6:45 a.m. Roseville firefighters and officers responded to a crash in the 1200 block of Antelope Creek Drive.

One of the drivers involved in the crash climbed into the ambulance, while the ambulance driver was still in the driver's seat, and attempted to drive away. When his attempt was unsuccessful, officials were able to kick him out of the ambulance.

Afterwards the man ran to the responding fire engine and tried to climb into the driver's seat. Firefighters were able to restrain him until officers arrived.

The 22-year-old man form San Pablo was arrested on suspicion of CUI and attempted carjacking.
