The Placer County Sheriff Department tweeted out the welcome change:

The Placer County Sheriff's Department is asking drivers to go slow and stay safe after snow has created hazardous conditions.
"Though we love it," the Sheriff's Department tweeted, "the snow has crippled highways & hindered snow removal efforts."
Photos posted show snow piled as high as street signs.
The temps have stayed below freezing so the water on the roads are quickly turning to ice.
An avalanche danger remains high.
