A traffic stop turned into an intense pursuit Saturday morning.

The chase began after a Sacramento County Sheriff's deputy attempted to pull a vehicle over around 10:30 a.m. when the driver sped off.

The suspect slammed their vehicle into two vehicles while speeding off, including a sheriff's cruiser.

The suspect continued to drive away for about 10 minutes until he jumped out of the vehicle in a neighborhood on Sagebrush Way near Hillsdale Blvd.

Law enforcement searched the area, believing the suspect to be inside a home. A K-9 swept the scene and found the suspect hiding in a neighbor's yard around 12:30 p.m.

The suspect was arrested.

No officers were hurt, but the suspect is being treated after being bitten by the K-9.

No other injuries were reported.
