The National Football League officially released the regular season schedules for the 2018-19 season on Thursday night.
The season opens on Sept. 6 as the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles host the Atlanta Falcons.
Both Northern California teams missed the playoffs last season and finished with 6-10 records, but they look forward to put the past behind.
The Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49ers will resume their 'Battle of the Bay' rivalry in 2018, during a Thursday night matchup in Week 9 at Levi's Stadium. The game will start at 5:20 p.m.
Oakland Raiders Season Outlook
Raiders open the season against the new-look Los Angeles Rams on ESPN's Monday Night Football at the Oakland Coliseum. This will be Raiders' head coach Jon Gruden's first game back after leaving his MNF position at ESPN.
Raiders will play two other primetime games in December against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Dec. 9 and their AFC West Division rival Denver Broncos on Dec. 24.
The team is also heading to London where they will play the Seattle Seahawks on Oct. 14.
San Francisco 49ers Season Outlook
The 49ers, led by starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, will start the season on the road against the Minnesota Vikings on Sept. 9.
The team is scheduled to play four other primetime games this season, which includes:
- Oct. 15 - ESPN Monday Night Football at Green Bay Packers
- Oct. 21 - NBC Sunday Night at home against Los Angeles Rams
- Nov. 12 - ESPN Monday Night Football at home against the New York Giants
- Dec. 2 - NBC Sunday Night at Seattle Seahawks
