The Sheldon Huskies picked a terrible time to have a poor quarter.
A toe-to-toe CIF Open Division Championship would be decided in the fourth quarter, when Sierra Canyon of Chatsworth, featuring the sons of two former NBA stars, outscored the Huskies 19-6 to hoist the trophy at center court of Golden 1 Center after their 75-62 win over Sheldon.
Scotty Pippen, the son of six-time NBA champion Scottie Pippen, poured in 21 points and Kenyon Martin Jr., like his former All-Star father had a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds in the victory.
Sheldon was lead by Dale Currie’s 20 points, while Dom Johnson chipped in 11 points for the Huskies.
