The Stockton Police Department is investigating a homicide after a man was found dead inside a vehicle Saturday night.
At approximately 11:30 p.m. Saturday, authorities responded to the area of Wilson Way and Anderson Street in Stockton on a report of a person who had been shot. Upon arrival, officers located the victim vehicle which had collided with a tree in the 1000 Block of South Wilson Way, according to Stockton police.
A rear passenger in the vehicle, a 19-year-old male, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police also say the driver and front passenger, who were both 18-year-old men, were found suffering from gunshot wounds. They were immediately transported to an area hospital for treatment and both are listed in critical but stable condition.
The preliminary investigation indicates the incident appears to be gang related, according to police.
There is no suspect information available to the public at this time.
