14-year-old boy injured in North Sac shooting

A 14-year-old boy was taken to a local area hospital after being shot multiple times Thursday night.

The shooting happened in the 1600 block of Clinton Road.

Residents in the area called for help after they heard gunfire nearby. 

While on the way to the areaf, Deputies learned that a teenage boy had been taken to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds in a private vehicle. 

The 14-year-old victim remains at the hospital, but is expected to be okay. 

No motive or suspect information is available at this time.
