Bartender accused in DUI crash killing cyclist

SACRAMENTO - A Pollock Pines bartender faces vehicular manslaughter and DUI charges after an investigation into the death of a cyclist nine months ago in El Dorado County.

Crystal Woods, 29, was struck from behind as she road her bike on Pony Express Trail, April 26, 2013. She died from her injuries the next day.

Michelle Erickson was initially arrested at the scene on suspicion of hitting Woods while intoxicated, the El Dorado County District's Attorney's Office reported. Erickson posted $25,000 bail and was released.

This past Saturday, D.A. spokesperson Dave Stevenson saidErickson was arrested on charges of manslaughter while driving under the influence with a prior; DUI causing great bodily injury; and DUI with a blood alcohol over .08.

Future court hearing information forErickson wasn't available.
