2 men attacked outside of Rocklin house party

A Rocklin house party promoted on Instagram was the scene of a shooting and a robbery late Friday night.

A man was shot in the foot, and his friend was robbed and sustained minor injuries, Rocklin Police Sgt. Tom Dwyer said.

A small group of friends were having a get together, hosted by a young person, inside of a house in the 1600 block of Abilene Circle. Dwyer said two suspects posted details of the party on Instagram, which brought the two victims to the home.

When the two men arrived at the home around 11:45 p.m., the two suspects met them outside. Dwyer said the victims and the suspects then got into an argument. One of the victims said he was grabbed, thrown to the ground and then robbed of his wallet, car keys and cell phone. The other victim was shot in the foot with an unknown type of firearm.

The suspects then fled the scene.

The suspects were described as two black males in their late teens or early 20s, Dwyer said. The shooter was last seen wearing a red beanie, with small black braids sticking out of the beanie. The second suspect was last seen wearing a blue beanie and a baby blue polo shirt; he was described as round and heavy set.

The group of friends inside of the home were not involved in the altercation.
