2 Roseville men arrested in rape

Roseville police said they captured two men suspected of raping a woman in a highly trafficked area on Sunday night.

The woman had gotten into a car with two men she didn't know for a ride home about 7 p.m. that evening, police spokesperson Dee Dee Gunther said. Instead of taking her home, the woman said the men drove to a parking lot near Douglas Boulevard and Sunrise Avenue and raped her.

Gunther said the victim was talking to officers when another patrol officer made a stop for reckless driving at 4th and B streets. The officer noted the two men in the stopped car matched the descriptions of the attackers provided by the woman, Gunther said.

After investigating further, the men in the car, Victor Jancer Sautizo, 24, and Fermin Gomez-Puac, 36, were arrested on suspicion of rape, kidnapping and several other related charges. The suspects, who are form Roseville, remain in custody in Placer County Jail no bail holds.
