Sketch released in Stockton attempted abduction

SACRAMENTO - Stockton police have developed a sketch of a man who tried to abduct a 15-year-old girl in north Stockton Monday afternoon.

According to the police report, it was 4:40 p.m. when the girl was walking on Holman Road approaching Bryant Drive when a man pulled up next to her in gray sedan.

The girl told officers the man asked her if she wanted a ride and when she said no, he got out of his car and grabbed her arm, pulling her toward the car.

As he opened the car door, the girl broke free and she ran home to call police.

She told officers the man in the car drove north on Holman and then turned east on Inspiration Drive. She further described the car as having a white vertical stripe on the windshield.

The man was described as East Indian, 30 to 40 years old and 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall. He weighed 165 pounds and had black hair, sideburns and a thin mustache.

The victim said he wore a gray t-shirt and blue jeans.
