A school bus rolled over and multiple injuries have been reported after a three vehicle collision in Elk Grove.

The accident took place just after 7 a.m. near the intersection of Wilton Road and Grant Line Road. Elk Grove Police were first to the scene.

The bus was from the Elk Grove Unified School District Bus, transporting four special needs students. The bus driver, bus attendant and one high school student from Elk Grove High School received minor injuries. The three other students on the bus were uninjured. Those three attend Joseph Kerr Middle School. As a precaution, the driver, attendant, the high school student and two of the middle school students were transported to a local area hospital to receive care. The parents of the other student came to pick the student who had no reported injuries.

One of the vehicles involved in collision with school bus went off the road and struck a tree. The woman who caused the accident has major injuries.

Elk Grove Police advised commuters to avoid the area as CHP investigated the crash. Wilton Road between Leisure and Levee Roads was shut down in both directions but has since reopened.
