Man dies in Arden-Arcade triple stabbing

SACRAMENTO - One of three men stabbed in the Arden-Arcade area Wednesday night died on Thursday.

Sacramento County sheriff's Sgt. Lisa Bowman said deputies responded the incident on the 2300 block of Wyda Way at 6:30 p.m. Upon arrival, deputies determined a 41-year-old man, a 29-year-old man and a juvenile male had been stabbed.

Information gathered from witnesses indicated a group of suspected gang members targeted the juvenile and followed him to a home on Wyda Way where they instigated a fight and stabbed him, Bowman said. Two uninvolved men who came to the aid of the juvenile were also stabbed.

The suspects fled the scene and were not identified.

Early Thursday morning, the 41-year-old man died from his injuries sustained during the incident. His identification was withheld pending notification of family, Bowman said.

The remaining two injured individuals were listed in stable condition as of Thursday morning.
