Blue Angels cancel Saturday performance

The Blue Angels canceled the Saturday performance at the California Capital Airshow.

According to a press release from the Californa Capitol Airshow, Cmdr. Ryan Bernacchi, the Blue Angels commanding officer and flight leader, is under medical supervision after contracting a food-borne illness. The team is hopeful he'll be ready for the final day of the airshow.

As of now, the Blue Angels are scheduled to perform on Sunday as planned.

All tickets for Saturday will be honored on Sunday, Oct. 2. Premium venue tickets will be honored as General Admission tickets. Parking passes will be honored with proof of purchase from Saturday or by providing your parking stub. Expedited lanes for those returning with Saturday tickets will be set up at the admission gate on Sunday.
