Person questioned for sending ransom demands to missing woman's family

A person was taken into custody for allegedly sending ransom messages to Alycia Yeoman's family, a 20-year-old college student who went missing in March.

The Sutter County Sheriff's Department said it believes the person was not involved in the disappearance of Yeoman, but that they did send the family ransom messages. Police have determined those demands to be a hoax.

Yeoman was last seen on March 30 leaving a friends home on Romero Street in Yuba City around 11 p.m.
