Strapped-for-cash teens can still cash in on that perfect strapless number for prom this spring. The Sacramento Library is providing 'gently used' formal-wear to prom-bound teens at various branch libraries through April 15.
After collecting a wide variety of dresses, suits and accessories by donation in the first months of the year, the library invites teens to come make their selection at different libraries over the next several weeks, according to information posted on the Sacramento Library website.
Teens should refrain from wearing makeup while trying on attire to avoid staining the garments. Limited changing space with privacy will be available, so teens should wear yoga shorts, leotards and/or sports bras under their street clothes for easier changing.
Adults may accompany teens making their selections, but unaccompanied adults can’t 'shop' at the events.
