Investigators from the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department are looking for a 33-year-old man, wanted for the murder Tuesday night of a 59-year-old man in Riverbank.
Detectives believe Isaac Vaughn, who also goes by the name Daniel Cross, is responsible for the deadly violence. The victim was found in the front yard of a home known to police for it's drug activity.
"That house is known to attract drug addicts and the criminal element," Sheriff Adam Christianson said. "We've been there before and are familiar with people who frequent that location."
A woman was also at the home of the time of the violence, but is not considered a suspect in the death.
Christianson said his office has too few resources to develop cases against the types of people known to frequent that Riverbank home. He said law enforcement needs all the help it can get from property owners, in dealing with those problems.
