1 wounded in officer-involved shooting at Fairfield motel

SACRAMENTO – A person was shot by police in Fairfield early Friday morning.

According to Fairfield Police Sgt. Matt Bloesch, the shooting occurred around 4 a.m. at the America's Best Value Inn on the 3300 block of N. Texas Street.

The person shot was taken into custody. Their condition was not released, but Bloesch said there were no fatalities.

Bloesch did not say why the shooting occurred.

No officers were injured in the incident.
