Woodland police investigate tire-slashing spree

Numerous Woodland residents awakened Thursday morning to find the tires on their vehicles slashed, police said.

Officers responded to 18 addresses and took 20 reports of vandalism. At least two tires per vehicle were cut.

The tire slashing was mostly in the south part of Woodland, according to the police statement. The vehicles were parked on El Dorado Drive, between Cottonwood and College streets; Hacienda Lane; Redwood Drive; Abbey Place; Monte Vista Drive; Spruce Drive; McKinley Avenue and West Street.

No one reported seeing anyone doing the damage. Police asked anyone who can help with information or who has exterior surveillance cameras images that might show the crimes to please call the Woodland Police Department at (530) 666-2411.
