2 arrested in Fair Oaks homicide

SACRAMENTO – Two men were arrested Monday in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in Fair Oaks Sunday.

Sacramento County Sheriff's Sergeant Lisa Bowman said Deonte Lindel Upchurch, 25, and Matthew Bronwood, 31, were taken into custody Monday afternoon.

Detectives believe Upchurch and Bronwood were invited into the home of Wesley Camp on the 7400 block of Tierra Way Sunday night. Once inside, the two men attempted to take items that did not belong to them, Bowman said.

Camp confronted both men and was fatally shot during the altercation, according to Bowman.
